The BLUN MCP Server connects models and Agents to files, APIs, data sources, internal systems, and development environments. It forms a unified connection layer through which BLUN can recognize which tools are available and how they may be used in a controlled way.
Without this connection, a model stays limited to the information a user manually copies into a chat. With the MCP Server, an agent can access needed functions within clear permissions, retrieve information, and perform allowed actions.
The MCP Server can also be integrated into compatible IDEs and agent runtimes. As a result, BLUN tools are available not only in BLUN's own products but also in existing technical work environments.
One shared standard for many tools
Every system has its own interfaces, terms, and access rules. The MCP Server translates these differences into a unified structure that models and Agents can understand.
In doing so, a tool clearly describes:
- its name and purpose,
- which actions are available,
- which inputs are required,
- which results are returned,
- which permissions are required,
- which limits must be observed.
As a result, an agent does not have to be rebuilt from scratch for every new data source. As soon as a tool is correctly available via MCP, it can be used within the permitted scope of tasks.
